How to Join Nigerian Defence Academy

In this post, I will you how to How to Join Nigerian Defence Academy. The Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA), located at Wudil, Kaduna is the only Military University in Nigeria. The Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) was established in January 1964 as a reformation of the Royal Military Forces Training College (RMFTC) which was created and ran by the British, though the college had been renamed the Nigerian Military Training College (NMTC) on independence. The NDA is the primary training ground of the Nigerian Armed Forces, which is composed of the Nigerian Army, Navy and Air Force.

In 1985 the Nigerian Defence Academy started offering undergraduate programmes to Military Officers in training and now also currently offers post graduate studies both for Msc and Ph.D for both military and civilian students alike. However, the central mission of the NDA remains the five year cadet officer training “Regular Combatant Course” for the Nigerian Armed Forces. This implies that whomever that aspires to serve in any of the arms of the Armed Forces will have to start from the Academy, especially secondary school leavers.
