“Reflect on Jesus’ teaching at Easter,” Oba Ewuare tells Nigerians

Easter, the world over, has been set aside by all Christian faithful to commemorate the death of Jesus Christ, who came to sacrifice himself for the good and well-being of mankind, and in recognition of this sacrifice, the Oba Ewuare has asked Christians to reflect on Christ’s teaching at Easter.

In a statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Oba of Benin, Mr Desmond Agbama, on Friday, in Benin, as gathered by the  Vanguard, the Oba Ewuare has advised Christian leaders to endeavour to do exactly what they preach. The Benin monarch added that by so doing, the congregation would not be misled.

While wishing Christians a happy celebration, Oba reminded them of the need to extend hands of fellowship to the needy and less-privileged members of the society. Ewuare II called on Christians to continually pray for the nation’s leaders and for the unity, peace, progress and development of Nigeria Related Oba of Benin, Delta, Edo
