Starting a computer school is really capital intensive, due to the numerous raw materials needed. However, with about One million naira, excluding your office rent, you should be able to set up a conducive and standard computer school. There are so many ways to raise this capital, I will give you hints on a few.

You can check out Tech blogs regularly, to find out when there is an organization ready to sponsor any company in Nigeria.

You can also acquire this capital from investors that will want to see your business plan, for them to invest and probably hold a share in the company.

There is always an option of family and friends, you can meet them to help you raise sufficient funds to start your business, through contributions.

Rent/Buy a property

Depending on your budget, you can decide to either buy or rent a suitable office for your business. This office doesn’t have to be the size of a football stadium, however, make sure it is not too small either because that is where you will be storing all your equipment and learning tool.

I strongly advise that you rent or buy a property in the urban territory of your environment, nobody wants to trek into a village just to attend a computer tutorial.

Register Your Business

No government takes education likely, no matter the type or form. So to make sure you are not harassed by any government agency, I will strongly advise that you register your business with all the required agencies.

First of all, visit any CAC office closest to you, tell them you want to register your business and they will present you with a form to fill.

The first and most important reason why people register their business is for something called corporate personality.

You will want to employ capable graduates in computer-related fields, who have not only the skill to teach but the patience to impart knowledge on individuals with little or no knowledge of computers.

I will advise you go for graduates instead of ordinary diploma holders when prospective students see that you are professional enough to employ first degree holders, they will most likely choose your computer training school.

Market your business

‘A bad product with good marketing will do better than a good product with a bad marketing’

Carry this ideology with you, and you will understand that at the end of production of anything, it is marketing where all efforts should be put into.

Write out all of the advertising and marketing means you plan on exploiting to discover clients, whether they be direct marketing, online advertising, print advertising or broadcast advertising.
