How to Transfer Airtime Credit On MTN, Glo, Airtel And Etisalat

To share or transfer airtime credit with friends and family over different telecom networks just got better because the network operators have programmed codes for achieving that.

MTN, Airtel, Etisalat, glo and Airtel have different codes for achieving that. In this piece, I will reveal to you all you need to know about transferring credits from MTN, Airtel, Etisalat and glo from the network to someone on the same network.

How to Transfer Airtime Credit on MTN

MTN is for famous enabling families and friends share credit so long as the sender must above N50 for it to be effected.

To be able to do this, the sender must have a 4-digit code which will serves as a secret or password for sending credit through MTN to a fellow MTN subscriber. Note that an MTN subscriber cannot share his airtime with a non-MTN, and this is called MTN shares and sell.

To achieve this, text Transfer 080xxxxxxx Amount PIN to 777. For example, transfer 08034433556 200 0413 OR you use USSD method, dial *600*Number*Amount in naira*PIN#. For example, *600*07036363524*200*0413# while 07036363524 is the beneficiary, N200 is the amount and 0413 is the PIN of the sender.

The amount and Beneficiary is 08034433556. Sender’s PIN is 0413 and Amount is N200.

You can cancel the transfer by sending Cancel to 777.

Also, if you don’t have a transfer PIN yet, all you need do is just to follow this step:

Send 0000 NEWPIN NEWPIN to 777. For example, 0000 4444 4444 to 777 while 4444 is the new PIN. If you try any of these codes and they don’t work, call MTN Customer Care on 180.

How to Transfer Airtime Credit on Glo

This is called glo ME2U. To create glo Me2U transfer PIN, dial *132*00000*New pin*New pin#. This is only possible on glo network.

Note that the zeros are 5 digits and the password must be 5 digits too. The default code is 00000. Assuming you wish you use 20205 as your pin, dial *132*00000*20205*20205# and to accept press 1 or 2 to cancel.

To transfer credit to a glo customer, you should use the USSD command *131*glo number*amount in naira*password# – for example, *131*080555563412*200*20205# and send/OK.

If you try any of these codes and they don’t work, call  Customer Care on 08020000121 OR 08020000200.

 

How to Transfer Airtime Credit on Airtel

This is known as Me2U. To change Airtel transfer PIN, send an SMS to 432 containing Pin Old pin new pin. For example, pin 1001 4321 where 1001 is the old pin and 4321 is the new pin.

Note that Airtel default pin is 1234. And you will get a response informing you that it has been changed. Also, to transfer airtime to another person on the same network, follow in the instructions:

2U (space) Receiver’s phone number (space) amount (space) pin – for example, 2U 080233433565 100 1234 to 432. Where 080233433565 is the receiver, 100 is the amount and 1234 is the default pin.

If you try any of these codes and they don’t work, call Airtel  Customer Care on 111/121.

 

How to Transfer Airtime Credit on Etisalat

To transfer credit from your Etisalat SIM to another person on the same network, look for Etisalat service menu on your menu list.

After that, click on balance transfer and later a security code box will appear requesting for your pin. The default pin is 0000 and afterward you would be required to enter the amount you wish to transfer.

You can also change your default pin from service menu. Another means to transfer credit from Etisalat is by dialing *223* Amount in naira*phone number# for example *223*200*080955344212 where 200 represent the amount and 080955344212 is the beneficiary’s phone number.

If you try any of these codes and they don’t work, call MTN Customer Care on 200 from an Etisalat line.

These codes represent how you can transfer credits from any network of your choice.

Also, the various networks’ customer care help lines have been provided to enable you reach them in case you cannot successfully do a transfer.

It is a good thing to share credit with loved ones and family members, and network providers have given us the ability and capacity to deal this with the various codes discussed above.
