2022 WCQ: “Go And Correct Your Mistakes in Douala” FFCN Boss, Ogunfuwa Tells Eagles

National President of  Football Fans Club of Nigeria, FFCN, Ambassador Oluwakemi Ogunfuwa has urged the Super Eagles of Nigeria to look at the positive side, learn from their mistakes and make room for positive results.

Gernot Rohr’s side embarrassingly lost 1-0 to the 134th ranked Central African Republic team in Lagos despite fielding a strong team for the qualifiers.

The award-winning FFCN chairman said: Information Guide Nigeria

“I think football is full of surprises. Nobody is happy with the result really but that is football. Take, for instance, Real Madrid lost to Sherrif, Manchester United were humbled by Young Boys at the UEFA Champions League. Nigeria defeated both Brazil and Argentina to win Gold medals at the Atlanta ’96 Olympics, so, football will always create new records. She added: “Thank God, World Cup Qualifiers is not a one-off thing, which means the players and the technical crew can still redeem their image in Douala on Sunday,” said the graduate of English, University of Lagos.

“I think this defeat should serve as a reality check for both the Coaching crew and the players. Let them take positives from the defeat. From now, the players should take every match as final so as to write the new history for the younger generation. Thunder must not strike twice against Nigeria, therefore, we must beat them in Cameron. Submitted, the soft-spoken football administrator

“We unbelievably lost at our own soil here in Lagos against the 134th ranked CAR and what I think the Eagles can do is to intensify preparations with technical strategies that will make us redeem our image in Cameron”
