On Wednesday, the chairman passed away soon after attending a peace meeting hosted by the Zamfara state chapter of the Nigeria Council of Ulama.

According to Gusau, he was transported to a nearby private hospital, where physicians confirmed his death.
The Nigeria Council of Ulamah is now planning a conference with all political parties in the state to discuss ways to ensure the smooth holding of general elections in 2023.
