Kanu, who was re-arraigned before trial Justice Binta Nyako of the Abuja Division of the Federal High Court, is facing a seven-count amended treasonable felony charge the Nigerian Government preferred against him.
Journalists were ordered to go back by operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS).
The operatives, who stopped all roads leading to the court, equally banned both print and broadcast journalists from accessing the court premises.
