Abuja To Vaccinates 1.5m Residents in 50 Days

The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has disclosed plans to give over 1.5 million residents in Abuja across the six area councils COVID-19 vaccines in the next 50 days. Information Guide Nigeria

This was disclosed by the FCT Minister of State, Dr. Ramatu Tijjani Aliyu while flagging off of the mass vaccination campaign against the spread of the pandemic at Abuja.

THIS DAY reports that the minister said the rapid spread of the virus calls for an aggressive response and improved efforts to contain the infection and protect residents of Abuja.

According to the minister, the donation of medical equipment worth over $700, 000, would contribute immensely to improving quality healthcare services in the primary and secondary health facilities and will ensure better health outcomes in Abuja.

As reported by THIS DAY,  she commended the National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA), and other partners for their continued support.

THIS DAY reports that the FCTA Permanent Secretary, Mr. Olusade Adesola, said the present administration will continue to enforce the ‘no mask no entry’ in public places, use of hand sanitisers, regular handwashing campaign and not less than 70 percent alcohol base in all public places, including worship places.

Also speaking, the Executive Director of National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA), Dr. Faisal Shuab, appreciated President Muhammadu Buhari for his continuous commitment to COVID-19 vaccination in Nigeria.
