As a club with a distinctive aesthetic, it is not surprising that the geometric design dominates both the collar and the shirt itself. The crewneck collar, which is clothed in a statement pattern and completes the eye-catching style, is inspired by the Zeitgeist fashion movement of the 1990s.
Ahead of the release Inigo Turner, Design Director at Adidas, spoke of the new kit as “a convergence of cultural icons remixed and recorded, the 22/23 third kit takes its inspiration from the iconic Manchester United graphic identity, using geometric shapes and patterns.”
