Akeredolu Cautions Marketers Against Artificial Scarcity

Governor of Ondo State, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has cautioned petroleum marketers and owners of fuel stations to desist from hoarding Premium Motor Spirit as well as creating artificial scarcity in the state. DAILY POST reports.

Akeredolu said the warning became necessary after long queues surfaced at filling stations across the state, notably in Akure, the state capital on Wednesday.

According to DAILY POST, many residents of Akure had on Wednesday woken up to fuel scarcity, a situation that major cities in the country have had to deal with in the last two weeks.

To relieve residents of the long hours spent at fuel stations, the Governor asked all petrol stations in the state to dispense petroleum in their tanks at the regulated Pump Price.
