Manchester United starboy Marcus Rashford became the youngest recipient of an honorary doctorate from the university, rewarding his campaign against child poverty.

Rashfiord’s fight against hunger and child poverty continues to receive accolades and praise from personalities, organizations, and entities around the world although the downside of the fight is the cut to welfare that will hit poor families.

Speaking at the ceremony, the 23-year-old urged politicians to get “out into communities” like his hometown of Wythenshawe in South Manchester.
