The Atiku Support Organisation has commended a one-time Vice-President of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar, as the friend of the youth in Nigeria as he turns 75 today. Information Guide Nigeria

In a statement signed by Dr El Mo Victor, the National Publicity Secretary, the ex VP was described as a successful private business magnate and a self-made entrepreneur who has transformed Nigeria’s economic space and has privately created over 60,000 jobs for Nigerians. THE PUNCH reports.

Part of the statement reads thus: “We celebrate a friend of the youth, who has a proven record of bringing young, unknown professionals in their 30s and early 40s into service. Many of the professional young leaders have today become governors in their states while some have become a shining light on the global stage, like the DG WTO, Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, President AFDB, Professor Akinwunmi Adesina, Oby Ezekwesili, among others.

In every direction, your excellency, you have proven yourself to be a leader of high standards, morality, decency, integrity, and character. We are proud of you, Sir, for the lives you have touched and your immense contribution to our democracy.

“In this difficult time of anxiety and national distress, the Nigerian youths need you and crave your leadership in 2023 to usher in the much-needed unity, the security of lives and property, and economic prosperity for all.”
