
ASUU To Shut Down Universities
The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has revealed that it has commenced consultation with its branches in Nigeria to reach an agreement on the shutting down of public universities.
According to PM NEWS, this follows the expiration of its three-week ultimatum which the association gave to the Federal Government to meet its demands. Information Guide Nigeria
Speaking in an interview on Tuesday, ASUU’s National President, Prof. Emmanuel Osodeke lamented that the ultimatum ended on Sunday without a single effort from the Federal Government to address their demands.

Prof. Emmanuel Osodeke stated that the Union is ready to take action immediately the ongoing consultation with branches is concluded within the week.
“We have referred it to the branches. They are to meet within the week and then reply back before we take a final decision.”
