Best diamond price comparison website Rare Carat

Why You Should Purchase a Ring Made of Lab-Grown Diamonds? Lab-grown diamonds are excellent. They are also cheaper than mined, environmentally friendly ones and come from ethical sources. Gentlemen welcome to the future of engagement rings.

You probably feel hesitant about using the term “synthetic” after hearing it is used a lot. The only difference between a natural diamond and a diamond grown in a lab is the place of origin. Aside from that, Rare Carat diamonds produced in the laboratory are chemically, physically, and optically identical to those extracted from the Earth.

How is a diamond grown in a laboratory created?

Most experts agree that traditional diamonds, also known as mined diamonds, originated between 1 and 3 billion years ago. Carbon dioxide was subjected to extreme pressure and heat 100 miles below the surface of the Earth during the process. After being compressed into the shape of a diamond, pure carbon migrated upward through deep volcanic explosions.

Today, scientists can use two different approaches to duplicate the process. High Pressure-High Temperature (HPHT) is one method that recreates an environment of high pressure and extreme heat by utilizing “carbon seeds” (pre-existing diamonds) and sophisticated machinery. A pure carbon diamond is made by carefully cooling the melted pure carbon around the starter seed.

Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD), the other method, typically begins with a diamond seed produced by HPHT. That seed is heated to approximately 800 degrees Celsius inside a sealed chamber. Plasma is formed when carbon-rich gases fill the room and become ionized. Pure carbon sticks to the diamond seed and slowly crystallizes into a pure carbon diamond as molecular bonds break down.

Each diamond produced in a lab is graded and certified in the same way that mined diamonds are. Most laboratories will use the four c’s to grade the diamond, though specifics may vary from lab to lab. Color, clarity, cut, and 3 carat lab grown diamond weight. Why is it graded similarly to a mined diamond? Because they are identical.

Three Good Reasons to Get a Lab-Grown Diamond Engagement Ring

The world is constantly changing, and you want to keep up. You can begin by making additional mindful decisions about the items you purchase. This choice does not come at the expense of design, clarity, or quality regarding engagement rings grown in laboratories. Three more reasons to buy one

1. Lab-Diamonds are Eco friendly then mined diamonds

Despite their pretty appearance, mined diamonds are terrible for the environment. To begin, they necessitate enormous machinery and explosives, which dig deep into the ground, disrupt habitats, pollute the water, render the land unusable, and produce literally tons of mineral waste. This is in addition to the consumption of energy and water, carbon dioxide emission, sporadic catastrophes, and the release of harmful gases like sulfur dioxide.

The entire breakdown can be found here. While lab-grown diamonds only produce 6 pounds of carbon per carat, traditionally mined diamonds contain over 125 pounds per carat. Over 30 pounds of sulfur dioxide are produced by mined diamonds, whereas lab-grown diamonds make none. A single carat of mined diamond emits air emissions 1.5 billion times higher than a lab-grown diamond.

Regarding energy and water consumption, a mined diamond uses 538.5 million joules per carat and more than 126 gallons of water. On the other hand, lab-grown diamonds only require 18 gallons of water and 250 million joules per carat. Additionally, much energy used to grow diamonds in laboratories is renewable.

2. Lab-Developed Precious stones are Morally Obtained

You don’t need to stream “Blood Precious stone” or “Whole Pearls” to be aware of the perils and unjustifiable acts of the jewel mining industry. Diamond mining is fraught with controversy and conflict, ranging from child labor practices to human rights violations to peripheral bloodshed, accidents at work, and health risks.

In the end, diamond mining exploits the poor, promotes war, and causes one injury for every 1,000 workers annually. Workers are at risk for lung disease, cancer, and hearing loss, and the mines are susceptible to collapse.

Diamonds grown in a lab, on the other hand, do not cause any harm to people, start any wars, or exploit any workers. You calculate it.

3. Cost

Regarding diamond price comparison, lab-grown diamonds are the best option. Due to the shorter supply chain, they typically cost between 20 and 40 percent less than mined stones. In the meantime, you get the same quality, variety, clarity, and consistency. What else can be said?
