
Franck Ribery, formerly of Bayern Munich and France, has decided to end his playing career.
Due to knee problems, the 39-year-old has decided to end his contract with Serie A club Salernitana.

After starting the season with Fiorentina, Ribery moved to Salernitana last summer and helped the club avoid relegation by a single point. However, he has not played for the team since their opening day loss to Roma. Reports of his impending retirement circulated for weeks.
After helping France to the 2006 World Cup runner-up finish behind Italy, the Frenchman moved to Bayern Munich from Marseille for £17 million in June 2007.
He announced his retirement from international action in 2014 after missing the World Cup due to a back injury, despite having been named French player of the year three times. He scored 16 goals and added 25 assists in 81 appearances for France.Jamb Result
