BREAKING: Police Service Commission Suspends Abba Kyari’s Men

The Police Service Commission (PSC) has suspended Abba Kyari’s men named after Cocaine Saga.

According to INDEPENDENT, the Assistant Commissioner of Police, Sunday Ubua, and Assistant Superintendent of Police, James Bawa have been suspended.Information Guide Nigeria

INDEPENDENT reports that a statement by the Head, Press and Public Relations, PSC, Ikechukwu said their suspension took effect from Monday, February 14, 2022.

The two police officers who have been suspended were working under  DCP Abba Kyari in the Intelligence Response Team of the Force Investigation and Intelligence Department of the Nigeria Police Force.

Recall that on Monday, the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) alleged that Abba Kyari and his men intercepted and arrested some traffickers that came into the country from Ethiopia with 25kg of cocaine.

INDEPENDENT reports that Abba Kyari and his team took 15kg of the cocaine and left 10kg for the prosecution of the suspects arrested with the illicit drug in Enugu State.

In a letter to the Inspector General of Police, dated February 16, the commission has approved the suspension of the officers “until the outcome of the investigation into the allegations levelled against them”.Jamb Result 

The letter further reads; “The commission also directed the Inspector-General of Police to note also that DCP Abba Kyari, who prior to this allegation was on suspension, shall remain so until the conclusion of investigations.

According to INDEPENDENT, the letter has been signed by retired Justice Clara B. Ogunbiyi and Commissioner 1 in the commission for the chairman, Alhaji Musiliu Smith, a retired Inspector-General of Police.
