A string of disciplinary episodes saw him discarded by head coach Mikel Arteta and his contract was eventually terminated. Aubameyang went on to score 13 in 23 appearances for Barcelona after his arrival. But he played just eight minutes of football this term due to the arrival of Lewandowski from Bayern Munich.
