Balogun, who is currently 34 years old, became a free agent after the conclusion of the 2021/22 season, as Scottish giants Rangers declined to extend his contract. The Nigerian international trained alone and was without a club until late August, when English Championship team Queens Park Rangers (QPR) signed him on a one-year free transfer.
Since then, Balogun has helped QPR to the top of the Championship table, appearing in eight (8) league matches and scoring his first goal for the club in the recent 2-1 win over Wigan Athletic.

Balogun told Football League World: “It was a long summer. I stayed up in Glasgow the whole time just trying to stay fit and not to lose my mind, but it was very, very challenging. I can’t lie.
