When he turned nineteen he doubled as a pianist, key boardist and drummer for a local band. His pastor introduced him to Chris Ordor, the CEO of sound city communication who just started operating a musical outfit aimed at grooming young musicians and talents to professional levels.

He offered Flavour a scholarship to study music while at sound city, where he served as a back up singer for other musicians at the company.

In 2005, he came through with his debut album which was self titled, he worked with Mr Raw, Kingsley Ogoro and Obiano music to produce the album which turned out a partial success as it was limited to the Eastern part of Nigeria, Enugu state to be precise.

Five years later, he put in some effort and birthed his second album which he titled “Uplifted”. It fared much better than the first and introduced him to the entire Nigeria and South Africa where a record label “Lolhiphop Records released the album on popular demand. “Uplifted” produced several hit singles, one of which featured Nigerian leading female art Tiwa Savage.

The album featured Wizkid and Fally Ipupa and had very massive singles like “Ada Ada” (a wedding song), “Baby Oku”, “Ikworikwo” and “Kwarikwa” which was a controversial single as Ghanaian duo “Wutah” claimed that the single was a replica of their own single “Kotosa” as it had the same rhythm, chorus and tempo.
