Declare state of emergency in the Northern Part of Nigeria, not Anambra-Reno Omokri

A former aide to erstwhile President Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri, has cautioned the Federal Government to focus more on the insecurity challenge in the Northern region of Nigeria. Information Guide Nigeria

This came as a result of the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami announcing that the Federal Government might declare a state of emergency in Anambra state.

Recall that Malami on Wednesday had said that a state of emergency might be declared in Anambra to ensure the upcoming governorship election is successful.

Omokri however said that the North central and North East where he claimed Boko Haram and bandits controls are in need of such declaration.

In his tweet, he said: “Abubakar Malami’s threat to declare a state of emergency in Anambra may very well be the spark that ignites what he can’t put out. jamb results

“How can you leave Borno, Yobe, Kaduna, Zamfara, and Niger (where Boko Haram controls 500 communities) and declare an emergency in Anambra?
