How to Replace the NYSC Temporary ID Card (State Code Tag)

The NYSC temporary ID card (state code tag) is issued to corp members during their first week at the orientation camp. However, if you have misplaced yours, you’ll need to apply for a new one. If you do not replace the lost state code tag, you may not be able to get food from the camp canteen, and may even find it hard to obtain the permanent ID card.

To replace the state code tag, simply head to the camp registration centre and explain how your temporary ID card got missing. The NYSC official will ask for your state code and other personal information for confirmation. After confirming your details, they will issue you a temporary card to use until the permanent ID is made available.WAEC result

How to Replace the NYSC Permanent ID Card

If you have misplaced your NYSC permanent ID card, you are in for a more difficult procedure to obtain a new one. There are two ways to methods to replace the permanent NYSC ID card.JAMB form

  1. Offline Replacement
  2. Online Replacement

Offline Replacement

Follow the procedures below to use the offline Replacement method:

  • Obtain a police report for the loss of your NYSC ID card
  • Use the police report to obtain a sworn affidavit from a magistrate court
  • Write an official application letter to the NYSC state coordinator explaining your situation and what you want.
  • Attach the police report and sworn affidavit to the application letter
  • Take the documents to your Local Government Inspector (LGI)
  • You will be required to make payment for the procedureJAMB Result
  • Your LGI will process your application and contact you when your new ID card is ready.

Online Replacement

Follow the procedures below to use the online Replacement method:

  • Visit the official NYSC portal via https://www.portal.nysc.org.ng
  • Click on the login icon
  • Enter your email address and password to access your NYSC dashboard
  • Click on “Replacement of ID card” on the portal
  • A new page will load containing your full name, Call-Up number, sand state code.
  • You will see a dialog box below, explain what happened in the dialog box
  • Enter your request and click on “Send request”
  • You will be required to make payment via Remita or bank deposit
  • After making the payment, upload a police report and sworn affidavit from a magistrate court
  • Your new NYSC plastic ID card will be sent to your Local Government Inspector (LGI)
