
EFCC Apprehend Fake Army General Over N270m Forgery
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, (EFCC) says its operatives attached to Lagos Zonal Command have arrested a fake Army General, Bolarinwa Oluwasegun, over an alleged N270m fraud. DAILY TRUST reports.
Wilson Uwujaren, the EFCC spokesman, in a statement, said the suspect, who posed as an Army General, made false representations to the complainant, Kodef Clearing Resources, that President Muhammadu Buhari had shortlisted him to be appointed as Chief of Army Staff.

Uwujaren said: “In the said letter, he claimed that he needed to pay a certain amount of money into the coffers of the Federal Government of Nigeria, as part of the requirements for the appointment as COAS”. Information Guide Nigeria
