Who is Eligibility For NIN?

The National Identification Number (NIN) is mandatory for every citizen and legal residents in the country. Hence, if you’re a Nigerian or a legal resident in any of the 36 states in Nigeria, then you are eligible for the NIN number. How to Enroll/Register For NIN

To enroll for the National Identification Number (NIN), follow the procedures below

  1. Go to the official NIN registration portal via https://nimc.gov.ng/enrolment-form/
  2. Click on the NIN icon
  3. Select “NIN Enrollment form” from the displayed options
  4. Your NIN registration form will be displayed on the screen
  5. You can download the form and fill physically, or fill the form online
  6. You can download the NIN enrollment/registration form in PDF format
  7. Fill the NIN enrolment form with your correct details
  8. After filling the form online, Print out the enrolment form summary sheet with a 2D barcode
  9. Take the printout of the summary sheet and 2D barcode to the nearest NIMC enrollment center
  10. When you get to the NIMC centre, submit your enrollment form for verification
  11. You will be required to provide supporting documents to process your application
  12. After confirming your details, your biometric data and headshot photograph will be captured on the NIMC portal
  13. Then the supporting documents you brought will be scanned and uploaded to the NIMC portalNpower recruitment
  14. After the scanning is completed, your enrolment is acknowledged.
  15. Two slips will be issued to you;
    1. Transaction slip
    2. NIN slip
  16. Congratulations you have successfully enrolled for the NIN number.

Requirements Documents for NIN Enrollment

The following documents will be required to enroll for the National Identification Number (NIN):

  1. Bank Verification Number
  2. Old National ID card
  3. Driver’s License
  4. Voter’s card
  5. Certificate of Origin
  6. Birth Certificate
  7. Nigerian International Passport
  8. Local Government identification letter
  9. Declaration of age
  10. NHIS ID card
  11. Government-issued ID card
  12. Government recognized private organisation’s staff ID card
  13. Public or private school ID card
  14. Tax Clearance Certificate
  15. Valid immigration documentsWAEC result
