We are recruiting to fill the following positions below:

1.) Warehouse / Tally Assistant

Location: Borno

Job Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Supervise the loading, off-loading and stacking of the commodities and assist the Storekeeper to keep updated records on stock cards, and/or computer inventory lists.
  • Adhere to established standard guidelines for the meticulous maintenance of both physical and digital records.
  • Guarantee the prompt and regular repair and maintenance of the warehouse facilities together with the Warehouse officer.
  • Collaborate with the Warehouse officer in the recruitment process, monitor attendance, and ensure timely payment for daily workers fulfilling logistics requirements.
  • Ensuring the streamlined movement of products in and out of the facility, optimizing spatial utilization, and upholding strict control and accountability for goods throughout all stages.
  • Ensure that all warehouse activities strictly adhere to established processes and procedures, comply with quality management systems, adhere to dangerous goods regulations, and align with industry best practices.
  • Regularly update stock record cards to maintain accurate and current inventory information.
  • Conduct routine inventory inspection and submit report to the Warehouse In-charge in a timely manner.

2.) Risk and Compliance Officer

Location: Borno

Duties / Responsibilities

  • Establish risk-based audits  within all operational activities of GHIV Africa, advise on internal control and participate in enhancing internal audit standards and practices.
  • Design and implement ,and continuously review audit schedule and procedures. Continually communicate key organizational controls, policies, approval limits within the company.
  • Document audit evidence (on fraudulent activities) arising from audit and provide internal audit recommendations to the Finance and compliance manager/Executive Director for review and approval.
  • Conduct thorough and objective examination of financial transactions records. Review monthly reconciliation of all GL accounts by Finance department. Periodically review fund management / cash flow and investment appraisals of the company’s resources.
  • Conduct periodic internal audit of each department.
  • Prepare and present audit reports identifying weaknesses and suggesting new procedure, controls, and policies, of departments, unit and processes in the group.
  • Serve as liaison with external auditors (and relevant regulatory bodies) during external audits to meet their requirements and to resolve any issues identified.
  • Follow up on findings and recommendations made in the external auditor’s reports to determine if management has responded accordingly.

Financial Risk Management:

  • Develop risk management strategies to mitigate identified risks.
  • Review and appraise the soundness, effectiveness, and proper application of accounting and financial controls, compliance procedures and controls and timeliness of documentation generation.
  • Act as a facilitator in GHIV Africa risk management and carrying out reviews, thereby assisting management in the effective discharge of their responsibilities.
  • Review monthly variance computation and variance analysis as presented by HOD Finance, and report accordingly to the CEO.
  • Periodic review of compliance to relevant regulatory authorities.
  • Review tax management and compliance.

Controls:

  • Evaluate and test controls in place to ensure areas for improvement are identified and risks minimized.
  • Periodically monitor process execution in operational areas.
  • Monitor quality of Internal and external processes for all departments and functions within the organization.
  • Conduct orientation of relevant parties on new processes, policies, and controls.
  • Address specific training and development needs to fill compliance gaps.
  • Monitor and control Operations.
  • Review matters relating to exit of staff.
  • Review handling of disciplinary issues by HR

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Law, Finance, Business Administration or any other relevant field.
  • Two to three years working experience in roles related to managing risk and compliances.
  • Excellent problem solving skills and attention detail.
  • Compliance and other professional certifications will be considered as an added advantage.

3.) Gender and PSEA Officer

Location: Borno

Responsibilities

  • To support the implementation of PSEA and Gender policies within the organization.
  • Prevention activities to raise awareness of staff and also development of code conduct addressing Sexual Exploitation and Abuse.
  • Advise on any PSEA related issues that require immediate action and advocacy.
  • Provide training and capacity –building activities to identify target groups and stakeholders in the community regarding PSEA.
  • Support the project by integrating PSEA during the response and ensure co-workers, community and stakeholders had understanding of regulations.
  • Responsible for conducting gender analysis and gender-related assessment in the community and providing reports to the Area project coordinator.
  • Respond to requests and provide advice, assistance and solutions to protect staff related to gender equality and women empowerment both in development and humanitarian context.
  • Engage with local with local service providers and supervise the gender related components of service contracts, providers and beneficiaries.
  • Monitor and oversee regular activities implemented focusing on women, men, children and people with special needs in targeted community, making sure of equal access.
  • Prepare technical and other reports, monthly or as required by line manager.
  • Support to ensure that gender considerations are integrated into the M& E process and report on gender specific indicators to the project team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Gender, Social Sciences or Law
  • Working experience with an international NGO in related field.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and writing).
  • Good verbal communication in native languages.
  • Experience in conducting assessments.
  • Must be a team player with strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse group of people.

4.) Nutrition Assistant Officer

Location: Borno

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Assistance Nutrition officer shall  lead on the screening, formation of data tools
  • Supervise MUAC and formation of lead mothers and reporting.
  • involvement in provision of RUSF at OTP centers to MAM children
  • Assist in carrying out project community consultation for community entry.
  • Assist in developing training materials for the training of community volunteers, Lead mothers, and Caregivers, pregnant, and Lactating Women on Tom Brown production, and IYC, and other training that may come concerning the project
  • Assist in identifying and recruiting community volunteers.
  • Assist in developing key massages for beneficiary’s and support the community nutrition Volunteers for the awareness and sensitization campaign.
  • Assist in developing activity schedule and guide the community nutrition volunteers’ activities.
  • Support and supervise the activities carried out by the CNMs and send weekly reports to the Nutrition Officer.
  • Assist the MEAL department on project data collection activities.
  • Assist in capacity building training for beneficiaries (community nutrition mobilizers, Caregivers, PLW, lead mothers, and mother to mother support group).
  • Assist Training, supervision, and technical support of CNMs
  • Provide weekly updates on challenges, progress to the head of programs in all locations of implementation.
  • Collaborate with community structures, local authorities to strengthen community IYCF
  • Attend monthly meeting with CNMs, Lead mothers and M2MSGs for need to support record challenges, update their knowledge on production of Tom Brown, and IYCF training, this will serve as a platform to discussing and addressing issues on the project.
  • Carry out any relevant activities or tasks that you’ll be called upon.
