Haaland’s all-competition goals tally is now the most in a single season by a player at a Premier League club. He surpassed the 44 goals scored by Manchester United’s Ruud van Nistelrooy in 2002-03 and Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah in 2017-18. And while both those players required 52 matches to amass so many goals, Haaland has reached the landmark in just 39 games.
