Filmmaker Releases Movie Trailer To Mark #EndSARS First Anniversary

A Nigerian filmmaker Samuel Adeoye has released the trailer of his new short film entitled, Abdul, today October 20, 2021.

According to PUNCH, the trailer has been released to commemorate the one-year remembrance of the #EndSARS protest. Information Guide Nigeria

PUNCH reports that the new short movie has English, Yoruba, and German as the languages of expression and features Linda Bockmeyer, Abdul Saliou, Franziska Maria, Jimoh Adesola Saidat, and others.

As reported by PUNCH, Samuel Adeoye said, “It’s imperative that we tell our own stories to the world. The #EndSARS protest of October 20, 2020, is one that has become historical and will forever linger on in the minds of individuals, who were affected and several Nigerians in and outside Nigeria. This is one of the reasons we had to tell the story through film”.

According to PUNCH, Abdul is about a 24-year-old Nigerian, who visited Germany and finds it safer in a foreign prison than returning to his home country. Jamb Result

The short film is written and directed by Samuel Adeoye. Adeoye and has Bathurshan Ganshalingam as co-producer.
