Free Cancer Treatment For NAF Officers
The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has pledged to treat serving and retired officers, including their spouses for cancer-related diseases in Abuja. Information Guide Nigeria
Air Commodore Olabode Babalola, the Chief of Medical Services NAF revealed this during the one-day Cancer Awareness Programme and screening in Abuja organised by the Nigerian Air Force Officers’ Wives’ Association (NAFOWA). THE NATION reports.
According to Babalola, some of such cases are presented to the hospital late by then it must have been too late.

Babalola added that cancer is responsible for 72,000 deaths in Nigeria yearly with an estimated 102,000 new cases diagnosed. jamb results
He emphasised the need for the masses to give priority to preventive action as early detection is imperative in the fight against cancer.
In Babalola’s words: “It is in line with this that the free screening services for cancers of the Breast and Cervix would be provided today at the NAFOWA cancer screening centre.”
