Chelsea trained on Tuesday afternoon and the German coach admitted there are no guarantees over who will make his matchday squad, as the group continue to get used to their testing regiment.
Even if the duo return to training, Tuchel is uncertain whether they will feature against Spurs, however.
He said: “I don’t know. I have to wait if they are in training and then let’s see how they respond. If we do it, it’s a gamble and I’m not sure if we do it, how much responsibility we can take there. At the moment I’m not even sure if they come to training.”
