• Managing procurement operations of significant volumes in a year.
• Handling complete purchase and assisting in logistics from Nigeria region.
• Directly handling big cooperatives and suppliers. Stakeholder management which involves Government relations, Buyers etc.

Key Deliverables
As a Branch Manager, your responsibilities would include but are not limited to:

• Design, implement and manage the Strategy for the product in the country with the respective teams below him to drive and deliver volumes as per the overall business plan.
• Optimize utilization of processing and quality resources in the country to derive maximum capacity utilization and efficiencies and to eliminate controllable losses and minimize the impact of non-controllable losses
• Support in implementation of the required infrastructure to deliver volumes as per the business plan
• Manage and support Credit Exposure, Pricing Strategies, Forwards / Future/ Hedging, and working capital management
• Ensure high motivational levels in the team and get the team aligned with the overall product strategy that we follow in the country
• Support the business head in trading and positional decisions by providing adequate and timely market information
• Interface with appropriate regulatory bodies for obtaining permissions, approvals, etc.
• Capability building amongst local staff.

Requirements

• Credentials and experience are important at Olam. We seek post-graduate qualifications from Leading schools globally with 2-3 years of experience in Business Management, supply chain & operations

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent with 15-25 years’ experience. Preferably in engineering, business, operations management or similar field
• If you have proven experience as a Plant Head or Maintenance manager and looking to manage large independent operations.
• Good people management skills and should be able to lead a team of different personalities and skillsets. Demonstrate ability to manage multiple activities concurrently.
• You should possess strong team and analytical skills, strategic thinking & leadership abilities
• An enthusiasm to work in an unstructured environment will always add value

Job Description

• The Chief Engineer will be responsible for overall Engineering activities across all sites of the company, ensuring the maximum availability of the plant by implementing the best maintenance practices.
• He will report functionally to the VP-Engineering with a dotted line reporting to the Plant Managers of Feed mill & Soy Crush plant.
• The Chief Engineer will be responsible for overall Engineering activities across all sites of the company, ensuring the maximum availability of the plant by implementing the best maintenance practices.

Key Deliverables

• Providing technical support to the onsite engineering team as and when required
• Ensure safety compliance at all sites.
• Develop departmental goals and strategies.
• Implement effective Preventive and predictive maintenance for maximum equipment availability.
• Achieve all KPI targets like Power, steam and R&M cost. Improve OEE, MTTR and MTBF
• Manage engineering store and inventory of engineering spares & consumables.
• Good knowledge of project management, planning, negotiations with sound commercial judgement, able to set priorities.
• Good knowledge on plant utilities like steam boiler, air compressor, Genset, water treatment plant, fire protection system etc.
• Basic knowledge in electrical and instrumentation (for candidate with mechanical background)
• Proven leadership and management skills with ability to develop a competent maintenance team.
• Prepare maintenance budget, capex proposals. Take ownership of maintenance cost.
• Leading daily morning meetings and ensure RCAs are done for any downtime that is happening on a day today basis.
• Work closely with the procurement team to establish annual maintenance contracts to agree on service, delivery timelines, price and performance requirements for those equipment wherever applicable.
• Work with the procurement team for alternate/local vendor development

Requirements

• Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical) with 10-15 years of maintenance experience in large manufacturing facility out of which 2 to 3 years as head department head.
