Ethiopian Airlines to buy 67 Boeing jets

Furthermore, the deal with Boeing includes an option for Ethiopian Airlines to acquire additional aircraft in the future. Specifically, the airline has the option to purchase 15 more Boeing 787 Dreamliners and 21 more 737 MAX jets. “The commitment positions Ethiopian Airlines to strengthen and diversify its fleet, currently comprising over 80 Boeing jets. The new 737 MAX order will be posted on Boeing’s Orders and Deliveries website upon finalization,” it added.

It further stated that Boeing and Ethiopian Airlines would collaborate on cabin modification services for existing 787 Dreamliners, enhancing passenger experience with advanced in-flight entertainment and new seats in all cabins, including lie-flat business-class seats from Boeing’s joint venture Adient Aerospace.
