Recall that in June, a group petitioned the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), claiming that Igwe had used a fake doctoral degree to work with the Institute for 18 years.
In a petition dated June 7, 2021, and addressed to the ICPC, the Human and Environmental Development Agenda (HEDA) tackled the accused. HEDA recalled that Igwe’s degree was subsequently investigated by ICPC and the findings dated January 24, 2020, was sent to the Ministry of Science and Technology. jamb results
President Buhari on September 28, instructed the ICPC to start the prosecution of Igwe.
According to the president, Igwe is not qualified for the position of DG.
