The Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Senator Godswill Akpabio has said that he does not know how employees are recruited into the Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs.

NEWSLODGE reports that the Chairman of the Committee, Senator Peter Nwaoboshi has ordered the Ministry and the Commission to submit a nominal list of the Niger Delta Ministry, which contains details of both junior and senior staff together with their salaries. Jamb Result

Also, Senator Mohammed Hassan Gussau representing Central Zamfara and is also a member of the Committee, questioned the abnormal increase in overhead costs in the ministry’s budget asking if new staff were hired during the year under review.

According to NEWSLODGE, the ministry’s total budget estimates for 2022 are N28.1 billion against N24.3 billion for fiscal year 2021.
