INEC Office Set Ablaze in Enugu
The Independent National Electoral Commission in Awgu Local Government Area, Enugu State has been set ablaze. Information Guide Nigeria
According to INDEPENDENT, Electoral Commissioner for Enugu State, Mr. Emeka Ononamadu, reported the incident in a statement made available to journalists in Enugu.
The commissioner said, “The building was set ablaze this morning, Sunday, September 19, 2021, resulting in extensive damage to mainly the store’s section where election materials are kept”.

Mr. Ononamadu informed the public that election materials had been evacuated from the INEC office due to recent attacks on other INEC offices in the state. Jamb Result
While pointing out that there was no casualty, the commissioner appreciated the Nigerian Police Force, the Nigerian Army, the Department of State Services (DSS) and the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) as well the Enugu State Fire Service and the Awgu Local Government Neighbourhood Watch for their prompt response.
Ononamadu said, “The identity or motives of attackers are unknown while the incident has been reported to the Nigeria Police Force for investigation.
