Eleven Burnt To Death In Anambra Bridge Crash
About eleven persons died in an auto crash along the Awka-Ekwulobia Road in Anambra State.
Seven of the victims, including three male adults and a girl, were burnt beyond recognition. THE NATION reports.

According to eyewitnesses, the speeding bus overtook wrongly and collided with the Mack truck, while the shuttle bus ran into them.
Also, the Sector Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Adeoye Irelewuyi, confirmed the incident.
In his words: “A fatal road traffic crash occurred at Agulu lake bridge by Awka-Ekwulobia Road 26th December, 2021 at about 16:39hrs”. jamb results
“The crash involved three vehicles, Mack with no registration number, MIT L300 with registration number: XA857UMN; with about 14 passengers and HIJET bus with registration number: UMZ23XC.

“Probable cause of the fatal crash was attributed wrongful overtaking and excessive speed.

“Seven people were trapped inside the L300 bus and were burnt beyond recognition while five passengers from the hijet bus were rescued alive and unhurt.
“The injured victims were rushed to St Joseph hospital where four were confirmed dead by the doctor on duty and their corpse deposited at the hospital morgue.”
