Italy & Portugal will be wary of facing Scotland in play-offs, insists Clarke

Steve Clarke believes that top football countries will be afraid of being drawn alongside Scotland in the World Cup play-offs.Information Guide Nigeria

Scotland have transformed their European Championship form to become one of Europe’s in-form nations. Their consistency has seen them win after six games, finishing just three points behind group winners Denmark.

But Clarke, when asked about the ‘big teams’ they could yet face, said: ‘Scotland is in there too. If anybody watched the Denmark game they will be thinking it will be tough (to draw Scotland).
