“We are also hoping for the best while we believe in our candidates. As people that bring joy to the country, I think it is a bit unfair to lash out at us. We are human beings too. Some celebs do it for money though but some do it because they believe in their candidates.”
Speaking on how the present administration has affected his life, the actor said, “The last eight years of my life have been much tougher than I thought they would be. I then decided that as I grow older, I will be more interested in politics. I have to participate from different angles. I want to be able to contribute to nation-building so that my child will not have to ask me what I did when things were going bad.”
On if he is interested in contesting any elective office, Black said, “I will never shy away from the opportunity. I have an idea of how people behave and what people want. So, if my services are needed, why not? I won’t say no to that.”
Speaking about the lessons he learnt from his past marriage, he said, “I am still in therapy (laughs). I believe people can change. That is one thing I know for sure. But, I don’t know if I am the best person to give advice on relationships. I think I know more about my work and politics. Most of the work in a relationship is to be done on oneself.”JAMB Result
