NNPCL signs MoU with Ghanaian, Gambian firms

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited has signed five memorandums of understanding on the Nigeria-Morocco Gas Pipeline Project with the national oil companies and relevant entities of five African nations.Information Guide Nigeria

According to a statement released by the NNPC on Monday, the signing ceremony took place in Morocco and was attended by the Group Chief Executive Officer of the NNPC, Mele Kyari; Dr. Amina Benkhadra, General Director of Morocco’s National Office of Hydrocarbons and Mines; Mr Baboucarr Njie, Managing Director of the Gambia National Petroleum Corporation, Gambia; and Celedonio Placidio Viera, General Director of PETROGUIN, Guinea.

Kyari, speaking at the event, praised NNPC’s partners, ONHYM, who collaborated with NNPC Limited over the years to bring the Nigeria-Morocco Gas Pipeline Project to light.

Kyari stated that it was reassuring to observe the project’s continuous expansion, particularly with the participation of NNPC’s counterparts and significant institutions from other African nations through the execution of the applicable Memorandums of Understanding.JAMB portal

He noted that NNPC and ONHYM signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the ECOWAS Commission in Morocco on September 15, 2022, adding that this occurred a month after NNPC inked further MoUs with Petrosen of Senegal and SMH of Mauritania.

He said, “Today, we will be attaining another feat by signing five MoUs with the national oil companies and relevant entities from Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea Bissau and Sierra Leone.JAMB Result
