Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq of Kwara State has requested for an additional N32 billion to run Kwara.
His request which is currently being considered by the Kwara State House of Assembly has passed the second reading after extensive debate on its benefits on Tuesday.
Recall that Governor AbdulRasaq first presented the state’s 2021 budget of N137 billion to the state Legislature in December 2020, before his recent request for an upward review of the budget from N137 billion to N169 billion. Information Guides Nigeria

The House Leader, Abubakar Olawoyin-Magaji in support of the review, said the review is attributed to the increase in the revenue shortfall induced by the adverse effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.
While Mr. Olawoyin-Magaji said that the supplementary appropriation would affect the growth of critical sectors in the state, Speaker Yakubu Danladi however referred the bill to the House Committee on Finance and Appropriation for further legislative action. JAMB Result
