The 26-year-old, who will play with the number 29, finished a physical on Thursday afternoon in Merseyside and will now spend the season at Anfield. Liverpool has the option, according to Juventus, to make the transfer permanent for a sum of €37.5 million (£32 million/$37 million).
Arthur is expected to be eligible for the Reds’ Premier League trip to Everton on Saturday afternoon, though given the fact he has not played a competitive game since May, he is unlikely to start at Goodison Park.
