Nigeria will benefit from exodus of Nigerians to other countries —Obi

Peter Obi, the candidate of the Labour Party in the February 25 presidential election on Thursday, said Nigeria stands to benefit from the rising exodus of Nigerians to other countries, commonly known as ‘Japa.’ Ripples Nigeria reports.Information Guide Nigeria

Obi’s statement, in a series of tweets on Thursday, is coming on the heels of a similar statement by the co-founder of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Bill Gates, on Wednesday in Lagos, that the japa syndrome was good and healthy for Nigeria.

Obi wrote: “I read and agree with Bill Gates’ recent comment on the “japa” syndrome, where, according to reports, he stated that the recent surge of Nigerian professionals leaving the country for greener pastures is good and healthy for our country.JAMB Result
