Martial, who is 27, has been hurt for five straight weeks and has missed 20 of United’s 34 games this season.
The Frenchman is under contract until 2024, with United having the option to extend his contract for another year, so the upcoming summer transfer window is an ideal moment to try to cash in on Martial.
