NCRIB laments on low acceptance of insurance in the North

The President of the Nigerian Council of Registered Insurance Brokers (NCRIB), Bola Onigbogi, has lamented the poor acceptance of insurance in the Northern part of Nigeria. 
The President of NCRIB, said this during the conferment of NCRIB brand ambassador on the Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero recently in Kano.She said despite being a risk-mitigation device, the insurance industry is yet to occupy a proper position attributing it to poverty, noxious religions, and traditional beliefs in different parts of the country. Noting that the Emir of Kano was the third Nigerian to be conferred as Brand Ambassador of NCRIB, she said that Kano has significant historical and economic relevance in the nation, huge population, hospitality, and richness of culture and tradition. Jamb Results

While urging Traditional Rulers to enlighten the people on the importance of insurance, she stressed that embracing insurance is one of the ways of handling risk.

A campaign on insurance was also conducted on major motor parks in the Kano.
