
Ndume Calls For Immediate Signing of Unexplained Wealth Order
The Chairman of the Senate Standing Committee on Army, Senator Ali Ndume has called on the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari to urgently sign or issue an Unexplained Wealth Order.
According to Senator Ali Ndume, this will help in strengthening the fight against corruption in the country.

The Distinguish Leadership Lecture Series which was organised by the University of Ibadan had as its theme, ‘The Unexplained Wealth and the Fight Against Corruption in Nigeria’.
DAILY POST reports that the senator emphasised on the need to look into corruption “most especially, those occasioned by public officers who are in trust of public wealth.

“For the perpetrators, it is not difficult to identify the tendencies exhibited by these officers; acquiring landed property in and outside the country, having fat bank deposits, buying expensive cars, or marrying so many wives.
“It changes our good culture, it breeds injustice and impunity, every citizen has a role to play.”
According to DAILY POST, Ndume emphasised on the need to support and encourage the whistleblower policy.
According to him, the whistleblowers must be active at all levels, inclusive of local areas, adding that the blowers must not be scared but be protected by law at whatever cost.
Ndume advised anti-corruption agencies to ensure that investigations are done properly whenever there is a whistleblowing report.JAMB Result
