Ahmed Nureni, the Osun NHFSS Commander, confirmed the arrests, stating that the incident occurred on Thursday night on the Gbongan/Osogbo road. Nureni pointed out that the suspects were part of an ongoing government-backed project in Ilesa, which, according to their claims, was focused on prison construction. The stolen items had been ordered just weeks prior to their capture.
