The electoral criteria stipulate that all aspiring candidates must receive the proper state FA endorsement before they are permitted to run.

There are still a few people in the running to succeed Amaju Pinnick despite the two contenders being disqualified.JAMB Result
Three of the 11 contestants who have been cleared are on the board that Pinnick currently chairs.
They are Seyi Akinwunmi, the current NFF 1st Vice President, Shehu Dikko, the current 2nd Vice President and former LMC Chairman, and Ibrahim Musa Gusau, the current Chairman of chairmen.
Idah Peterside, a former international player, Christian Emeruwa, the head of safety and security for the CAF, and Abba Abdullahi Yola, the former chairman of the Kano Pillars, are other candidates running for the position of NFF President.
The remaining candidates for president are Amanze Uchegbulam, David-Buhari Doherty and Adam Moukthar Mohammed, Suleiman Kwande, and Musa Amadu.
