Nigeria Supplies 50% Of Seeds Used In West Africa – NASC DG
The Director-General of National Agricultural Seeds Council (NASC) has said that Nigeria supplies more than 50 percent of seeds used in West Africa. Information Guide Nigeria
According to VOICE OF NIGERIA, the Director-General of the Council, Dr Philip Ojo, stated this during a road march for quality seeds to commemorate the 2021 annual SEEDCONNECT Africa Conference and Exhibition held in Abuja.

The campaign was led by the Minister of Agriculture, Dr Mohammad Abubakar.

Speaking at the event, Dr. Phillip Ojo said other countries in West Africa are interested in studying its seed production system.

“Countries such as Cote d’Ivoire, Sierra Leone, Gambia, and Ghana will be coming with their delegates to study what we are doing here.”
