Nigerian Army kills 11 ISWAP Terrorists In Borno

About eleven members of the Islamic State for West African Province (ISWAP) yesterday were killed while others run in a fight with Nigerian troops in Damboa Local Government Area of Borno State.

The terrorists wanted to take over the city before they came to war with the Nigerian Army.

According to DAILY POST, a source in Damboa said that soldiers are presently on the trail of the fleeing terrorists with the aim of ensuring that they are well cleared from the surroundings. Information Guide Nigeria

Brig.-Gen. Abdulwahab Eyitayo, the acting General Officer Commanding (GOC), 7 Division of the Nigerian Army, also said that a number of the terrorists on 10 gun-trucks and one phantom MRAP tried to attack Damboa Super Camp of the Nigerian Army.

According to Eyitayo, as they approached, the army swiftly reacted to the attack and forced the terrorists to escape through Sandia village.
