Nigerian Military Will Continue To Support Education In Nigeria — GOC II Division

Maj-Gen G.U. Chibuisi of the Commanding (GOC) II Division, Nigerian Army has reiterated the mission of the Nigerian Army in bolstering the education sector in the country. Information Guide Nigeria

He said this yesterday, at the 2021 Valedictory event of the Command Day Secondary School, Odogbo, Ibadan.

The Major General was deputized by Brig. Gen. Umar Abdulkadri Muaz, the Divisional training officer II Division, Nigerian Army.

In Abdulkadri’s words: “We have the education corp in the Nigerian Army which makes provision for the establishment of schools at all levels. jamb results

“We established Army Children for primary schools, Command Day and Boarding Secondary schools for secondary education, and the NDA to also make provision for tertiary education in the country.”

He, however, instructed the graduands to be determined and diligent in their endeavours.

Part of the programme was a book launch and awarding of prizes to outstanding students including the graduands.

The students were seen displaying their dexterity in playing musical instruments and singing, doing a march past by the student cadets, and performing all sorts of cultural dances.

Also, the Acting Commandant of the Command Day Secondary School, Major Adedeji Olusegun Akindele in his speech advised the graduating students to go out and subdue the world, however, on insecurity, he said: “It is everybody’s business. It is expected for folks to also monitor the activities of their children, just like we make efforts to bridge the gap between the home and the school, to curb all social vices.”
