Nigerian Student Bags First Class In Russian University

Solomon Terwase Apuu, a 26-year-old Benue State indigene, has distinguished himself at the Samara National Research University, Samara in Russia as a first-class student in aeronautical engineering during the institution’s 2021 graduation. THE WILL reports.

Apuu hailed the Nigerian Government for the opportunity given to Nigerian students to study abroad through scholarships and called for the sustenance of the programme to attract more beneficiaries. Information Guide Nigeria

He, however, revealed that he could not make it to the Arizona State University in the United States of America, to commence a PhD programme due to financial constraints.

On the challenges experienced by most Nigerian students studying abroad through scholarship, Apuu lamented that the delay in the payment of stipends to help students to cater for their daily needs is one of the major problems affecting the education of most Nigerian students especially those from less privileged homes abroad.
