In the second game on Thursday, Bendel Insurance defeated Bayelsa United 1-0 at the same stadium thanks to a late strike by Austin Ogunye.
After the Bayelsa United goalie blocked his initial right-footed attempt, the attacker volleyed the ball into the bottom corner of the post with his left foot.

The result put Bayelsa United out of contention for the NNL title, leaving them with one point from two games. On Wednesday, they were held scoreless by Doma United.
El Kanemi Warriors and Bendel Insurance have three points apiece and are separated on the table by goal difference, while Bayelsa United and Doma United have one point each.
El Kanemi Warriors and Bendel Insurance will now meet in a potential championship game on Friday. The game was originally scheduled for matchday one, however, it had to be rescheduled for the rest day due to the imbalance caused by travel.
The Super 4 concludes on Saturday, with El Kanemi Warriors finishing their campaign against Bayelsa United and Bendel Insurance facing Doma United.
